Superb c.1770-1810 French Coin Purse with Gold Wire and Hand Painted Inset, Rare! bronze frame This type of setI think this is c. 1750 1810. The estate I bought it from in France thought c. 1790. I've seen similar work on c. 1750 1810 snuff boxes and bonbon boxes, but never worked into a purse. I've never seen nor found a purse made in this manner, with the convex glass covered compartment into which sentimental craft has been made. Leather is supple, perhaps an early cordovan, slightly more red on the underside than on the top side. Just a stunning little
